How about some angel hair pasta with tiger prawns, mussels and ebiko?
I tried Paprika’s recipe (and added mussels which I simmered in the delicious prawny broth before I tossed in the pasta), and I must say that it was the best RM50 I spent in a long time.
And no, there were NO kitchen disasters.
Have a great weekend, folks!
(Note: RM50 gave me 2 large plates of pasta containing 8 tiger prawns, 6 mussels and a generous sprinkling of ebiko)
Nicely done! and u were generous with the ingredients.
Nice colours! Have a good weekend ahead too ya. 🙂
Aww…i missed homecooked food~
Urs is a fusion, ebiko+spaghetti…
Really delish-looking East kisses West, LL. See, you’re doing so well you must try baking easy egg tarts.
daphne: Yep, it’s a trait I picked up from mum.
jason: I think so too. Thanks…you too!
Jojo: Wah…long time no see leh! Hey try this recipe. It works!
argus: It was absolutely delicious, Argus! Errr…frying and baking are two different things. Anything to do on the kitchen stove, I can do. Ask me to bake, and I start sweating. It’s fear.
Brilliant job! And as for your “fear”, well given you’re a charm with the angel hair pasta, you could be the Dare-Angel: Woman Without Fear! (after Daredevil: Man Without Fear… what? nobody reads comics no more?)
…
I re-read what I just wrote and realized probably only three people on earth is gonna get that pun. And all three are gonna smack me for how lame it is. Sowwies… 😛
yum! happy wkd:D
Looks good! 🙂 Setting up restaurant next? *grinz*
Kenny Mah: Hmmmm…..comics……yeah……SeX & The City…woohooo…..
cumi&ciki: Happy weekend!
neko-hime: Restaurant? Hawhawhawhawhawhawhaw. 😀
Haiya, that Kenny and his devil-may-care pun. He’s got an angle on angels apparently.
Fear, Lyrical? No sweat, please, we’ve air-conditioning. Or at least a fan. Wear a bikini, switch on the whirring blades, and BAKE, woman! Soon the ‘fear’ will melt away…
Hey Cooking Lady…wow I gotta see that! 😀 It looks delish of course.
Oi Kenny, I got your pun and it is lame. 😉
Happy weekend Folks xxx
Wah, so much seafood, like that have to sell RM50 per plate in restaurants.
A lot of onigiris?
not eating out much? or just not bringing the SLR?
Wow, serious, less than RM50, all that good stuff??? I’m nuts about roe myself, but eating a pregnant prawn somehow makes me feel horrid.. 🙁 it happened on my last night in bangkok, bought a box of 10 river prawns for about 6o baht, and saw that they were in various stages of pregnancy! 🙁
Ah, makes me wanna cook too.
whoa u are going into cooking also ah.. me too !!!
Just moved into our new place, so we are cooking at every opportunity, and sayang was just asking, how come u don take pics of food u cook ? My answer was, beccuz i am cooking ma.. wakakakaka…..
haha..a very luxurious plate of pasta..next time with ikura??
so hearty!
Looks great. Bet it tasted even better;) Looks like I missed out on an interesting weekend lah *sigh*
Considering the ebikko itself is RM10, not bad hor? Mine was cheaper because I bought my bag of prawns from a pasar thani for only RM10. Wheeeee… I have a really easy lemon pudding recipe too, you want?
RM50 for home cooking is princely la…..
That’s no sprinkle. More like dollops of ebiko. Yummy!
Yummy!! So impressive. I look forward to more cookings from you.
Oh wow that looks so delicious. I love seafood and this is definitely worth it 🙂
