  1. ai wei: never too early for yee sang, my dear. ๐Ÿ˜›

    Jian: I moved on from a Lumix to a Canon DSLR in August last year. ๐Ÿ˜›

    Nic: Not early, mah. hehe. I love yee sang. My companion last nite, Ecstatic Eeyore, loves it a lot more. He had been pestering me since Christmas to go for yee sang.

    wmw: Hmmmm. Strange. Yeah, the pork belly is yummy here.

    Joe: This is considered quite late for me, actually. ๐Ÿ˜›

  2. Faster lou sang faster get prosperity,
    More lou sang more prosperity,
    Many wishes, more come true,
    so I wish you .. a very Successful 2008

    ps… the lens is canggih.. im shopping for one too…

  3. I really miss this dish!!! Last time I had it was 1994! I never seem to visit Malaysia to coincide with the CNY. anyone know of an all year round yee sang seller?

  4. Waxing lyrical, Lyrical?
    In time for CNY;
    If one has yummy yee-sang,
    One never says die.

    But here we have none;
    Gotta invent our own:
    Grated carrot and crisp-fried bun
    For a funny yee-sang clone.

  5. This is the time.. where i missed home most.. ! and all the yu sang and the low hei..! i tried to explain to the man.. about this food that i missed.. and all he can say.. is.. “yes.. hon.. i know..!” ๐Ÿ™

  6. Do you think yee sang can be frozen ah? For say, 6 months…??

    Somehow homemade YS is not quite the same without all those crispy strands of psychedelic-ally multi-coloured stuff. Not that I want to attempt to make any, of course.

  7. Bloody beeyoodiful pics, LL.

    Love it when you get outta the fancy joints you can find anywhere in the world and go to the ultra-delicious Malaysian speciality places. THAT’s where the Malaysian food that is so special for me resides. Gimme the great street food and typical (and amazingly diverse) people’s fare any day.

    How I’d love to be spirited into that restaurant to partake of the gorgeous spread you’ve photographed here – and no doubt subsequently demolished with relish.

    Luv your new site. WordPress is the goods.
